The American Cancer Society is the leading cancer-fighting organization with a vision to end cancer as we know it, for everyone. Carolyn has been involved with the American Cancer Society since 1998 first participating in Roanoke Relay for Life, then serving as Co-chair for Vinton Relay for Life for 10 years. She has been a part of the ACS Leadership Board and modeled as a Survivor in the first “Cure by Design” fundraising gala. During these years, she has been a CAREGIVER, a SURVIVOR, and a WARRIOR for cancer patients by personally raising over $100,000 for ACS and the BATTLE – A BATTLE WE NEED TO WIN BECAUSE LIKE YOU – WE ALL HATE CANCER.
